Shane Skelton

Co-Founder and Partner

Shane has advised elected officials, companies, trade associations, advocacy organizations, and nonprofits to develop policies and advocacy strategies that achieve internal goals and manage legislative and regulatory risk.

Prior to co-founding Mission, Shane was a Senior Vice President with Boundary Stone Partners, where he co-led the Clean Energy, Fuels, Carbon Management, and Buildings and Industrial Decarbonization practice groups. Shane joined Boundary Stone from S2C Pacific, a boutique energy and environmental policy and advocacy consulting firm he co-founded in 2016.

Shane previously worked for former House Speaker Paul Ryan as a counsel and policy advisor on the House Budget Committee and Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH) managing his House Energy & Commerce Committee portfolio. Off the Hill, Shane was Executive Director of a non-partisan, non-profit infrastructure and technology think tank, the Alliance for Innovation and Infrastructure (Aii), and a Policy Advisor to the American Petroleum Institute. 

Shane is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned his J.D. from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. He also currently serves as a fellow at the University of Southern California’s Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy.
